Originally, Bob joined Mosaica Partners as an advisor and consultant in the areas of business and consulting practices. He led the effort to develop Mosaica’s proprietary health information exchange maturity model and HIE formation methodologies. Recently, Bob accepted the position of VP of Professional Services, in which he leads the development of Mosaica’s consulting capability and ensures consulting service quality and customer satisfaction. As a recognized health information strategist, he actively participates in client engagements in the role of executive consultant or methodology exponent and is also actively involved in expanding Mosaica’s research capabilities.
In 2004, Bob founded his own consulting firm, Consulting Intelligence, which advised clients on ways to maximize value received from their business advisors, including sourcing, selecting, utilizing and managing consultants and consulting firms. The company also provided independent verification and validation of consulting projects.
Prior to founding Consulting Intelligence, Bob held the prestigious position of resident CRM Subject Matter Professional at IBM's North American Strategic Envisioning Center. As a member of the CRM Strategy Practice of IBM, he specialized in the development, deployment and implementation of divisional and enterprise-level customer relationship management strategies. The strategies were designed to help IBM's clients transform their organizations to efficiently, effectively, and profitably deliver appropriate value-based experiences to their customers. Bob also taught consulting practices and methodology at IBM Executive Consulting Institute locations in Europe, North America and Asia.
Previous to joining IBM, Bob held senior management and technical positions at: Bank of Hawaii; Pacific TeleCommunications Council; VeriFone, Inc.; The Direct Connection Co., Inc. and Bose Corporation.
He is the co-author of “The Health Information Exchange Formation Guide – The Authoritative Guide for Planning and Forming a Health Information Exchange in your State, Region or Community.” The book was published by the Healthcare Information Management and Systems Society (HIMSS) and received the HIMSS Book of the Year Award in 2012.
